Australian Ecosystems Projects

Waterways Estate, Braeside, Melbourne 1.4 million plants,  200 species established.

“Australian Ecosystems brought to the Waterways and incredible depth of understanding and knowledge about wetland creation. From the outset the task to propagate, grow and plant over1 million plants was always going to be a huge challenge. They were in fact, I believe, the only team in the State that could execute a project of this scale. Through their experience and some clever innovation, they achieved this on budget and ahead of schedule. Ecosystems are without doubt at the forefront of wetland development and habitat creation in this State. The extraordinary success of this project has much to do with one other element that the team at Ecosystems have in spades and that is a genuine passion for what they do.”

“Revegetation of extensive billabong and wetland complex involving estab-lishment of 600,000 plants. “In planning the revegetation of the water bodies on the Heritage Golf and Country Club, Australian Ecosystems modelled their work on one of the last remaining intact wetlands in the mid Yarra Valley. The result has been a system of wetlands that treats stormwater before it enters the river, the creation of habitat which has attracted a wide variety of native wildlife with over 80 species being recorded and the creation of an environment which provides opportunities for education, relaxation and enjoyment for both our residents and visitors.”
